[edit] Bengie's Drive-In Movie Theatre
This drive-in is the last of the nearly 50 drive-in theaters that were once operational in Maryland. In the past ten years, Bengie's has gone from having the largest screen on the east coast, to the largest screen in the country. Yay for Bengie's, but boo for drive-in theaters as a whole.

Bengies Drive-in: 410-687-5627 / 410-686-4698 located at 3417 Eastern Boulevard (Middle River)
Originally lit back in June of 1956 during the heyday of the American Drive-in, Bengie's has managed to remain lit despite successive seasonal reports of its imminent demise. The State of Maryland recognized the Bengie's as one of its official state "treasures" in the course of Y2K festivities and publicity. It has the largest screen of any Drive-in Movie Theatre on the East Coast - which measures-up at: 120' wide x 52' high, and has a capacity for up to 750 cars. Open seasonally (April thru October), Bengie's screens double features each nite as a rule, and very frequently will offer a triple feature on the weekends. Audio is provided by AM/FM radio or traditional speakers. (originally posted at http://www.driveinmovie.com/)
